New Customer Installation Help

  • If you just purchased Depiction you will be taken to a page to download the software.
  • You can always go to your user account and find the download under the files tab.
  • Once the software has downloaded it will usually be in your downloads folder and will be called DepictionSetup.Zip.
  • If you have trouble finding it you can usually find it by going to your web browser and typing Cntrl J.
  • This will open a new browser tab that will show all of your downloads.
  • Find the file and click on "show in folder".
  • This should open a windows explorer window showing the file.
  • Click on the file and then on the menu bar you should see an option to "extract" the file.
  • Choose that option and it will ask you to name the folder where you want to extract it to.
  • You can leave it to the default or sometimes it is better to change it to your desktop so that you can find it easier.
  • Once extracted you should have a file called depictionsetup.exe.
  • Double click on this icon and it will start the install process.
  • Just accept everything and when it is completed it will create a desktop icon for Depicton 1.4.
  • It will then come up with a screen to check for updates, you can cancel this as you have just downloaded the latest version from the website.
  • Double click on the Depiction 1.4 icon and this will start the program and bring up the activation screen.
  • This is where you will enter the activation key that you received.
  • Include the dashes. It is best to copy and paste it in.
  • It should tell you have successfully activated.
  • If you get an error that says it failed to reach the server, then keep hitting the activate button until it takes. If after several tries it won't take then contact us at
